Fabric Softener
Introduction: With just one ingredient,
this recipe couldn't be easier...
Ingredient:
In the kitchen, I love salads and recipes that
include vinegar, especially natural infused vinegars. On its own,
however, the harsh fragrance of vinegar is definitely not an aroma
that I deliberately seek out. Despite its abrasive smell, vinegar
is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-viral. It is affordable and
does soften clothes well when added to the rinse cycle. Vinegar
also helps to eliminate soap residue build-up on clothing.
Directions: In place of commercial
fabric softener, add 1/2 cup of vinegar to laundry during the rinse
cycle.
Precautions:
- Avoid balsamic and other dark vinegars as they may stain clothes.
- A lingering vinegar aroma may be left on your clothes. To minimize
or eliminate the aroma, try the fragrant, essential oil Dryer
Sheet Recipe.
