Mouthwash Recipe Using Essential Oils
Notes: This recipe makes a rather minty mouthwash but as it contains no added flavorings, it is not as sweet or strong as commercially available mouthwashes. Directions: Combine the water and optional vodka into a 8 oz bottle. Add the essential oils, shake well and tighten the cap. I prefer a bottle with a flip top as that makes it easier to pour. Baking Soda Variation: Frugal Living on About.com offers an easy baking soda mouthwash recipe that could be adapted to the AromaWeb recipe shown here (I haven't tried it myself yet, but plan to). To Use: Essential oils do not stay mixed in water based formulations, so it is necessary to shake the mouthwash before every use. Use as you would other mouth washes.
