Are Carrier Oils Gluten Free?

Gluten Free Carrlier Oils

Carrier Oils that are derived from botanical sources that do not produce gluten should be gluten free.

I have been reading through a number of articles and forum posts online from those with Celiac Disease and gluten sensitivities.

It sounds like the topical application of Wheat Germ Oil may negatively impact individuals who cannot tolerate gluten. Although I don't have any reliable data available, there have also been some individuals who have gluten sensitivities or intolerances reporting that Oat Oil has caused them issues.

If you need to ensure that products are gluten-free, be sure to confirm with the retailer or supplier that the oil or product is indeed gluten-free.

Use caution when trying any new ingredient, including carrier oils on the skin or in the hair. Those with nut allergies should consult their medical practitioner before coming into contact with nut oils, butters or other nut products.
