Some of the info regarding essential oils isn't as thorough or as accurate as I would hope for, but those with a sound knowledge of essential oils should be able to still utilize many of the tips contained within this publication.

Sacred Smoke: The Ancient Art of Smudging for Modern Times
Author: Harvest McCampbell
As a first book on Native American smudging rituals, I recommend Sage & Smudge by Diane Ronngren. Sacred Smoke, however, is an excellent supplemental book written by a Native American herbalist and educator.

Sage & Smudge: The Ultimate Guide
Author: Diane Ronngren
Of the books that I've read/skimmed on smudging, Sage & Smudge provides the most in-depth coverage about Native American smudging rituals and the herbs most often used.
